I normally do small groups where students are doing something new every 15 minutes so that often students don’t finish all the activities. I also recommend making things more “challenging” or engaging by using Bloom’s taxonomy to design my projects. For example telling students to memorize multiplication facts is going to take 5 minutes compared to having students write a multiplication problem and then solving it and solving their peers’ problems.
